Calls During Office Hours
During office hours, our receptionists will take your calls and assist you. If
you need the advice of your doctor or their nurse assistant, you will be
directed to the nurse’s voice mail. These messages are retrieved throughout the
day and are answered as promptly as possible. If your need is urgent, please
alert the receptionist and your call will be directed to the nurse immediately.
It is our hope that in this way we can meet your needs in a timely fashion with
a minimum of inconvenience.
After Hours and Weekend Calls
Our physicians are available after hours and on weekends, 365 days a year. If
you have an urgent or emergent need all that is necessary is to call our office
at (760) 598-1776 and the physician “on call” will return your call as soon as
possible. We ask that you please hold routine, non-urgent or non-emergency calls
for our usual office hours.
Please have the following information available before you call for assistance:
1. A brief description of your symptoms
2. Any chronic illness that you may have
3. Your current medications
4. Any allergies to medications
5. The phone number of your pharmacy
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, we advise you to call 911
or go directly to the Tri-City Hospital Emergency Room.
However, if you are
seeking attention for a non-life threatening situation, we advise you to speak
with the “on call” physician so appropriate direction can be given. (This is
required by many health insurance plans.)
